Change Team:
Schedule Updates
by posted 07/07/2020

Hi Team 21 —

Just an update on schedules. You may have been seeing lots of updates/notifications coming through about field changes today. We're trying to make the schedule as easy as possible (keep as much activity down on Field 1.)

Moving forward, weeknight games (Mon/Wed) will always be on Field 1, and the team not playing will practice on Field 4.

On Saturdays, games will be on Field 4 (t-ball kids are on 1) and practice will be on Field 3.

Sorry for the confusion. See you tomorrow night!

Team 21 — Game Monday night!

Hey Parents and Players,

I hope you all had a great Fourth of July weekend! Are you ready for some baseball!

We have a game tomorrow night on Field 1 (different from what the schedule says, but we'll play most if not all of our games this summer on 1.) Game is 6–8pm. Please arrive no later than 5:45 so we can get warmed up. Please let me know by noon on game days if you cannot attend so I can remove you from the lineup.

I will be at the Field early tomorrow to hand out uniforms, but my goal is to get them to you earlier tomorrow so you can arrive at the complex ready to play. I'm working from home, and I'll be around between 10am and 4pm to hand out uniforms. My address is 622 Foxcroft Road, Elkins Park PA 19027. Call or text me to let me know what time you're stopping by: 610-999-6584. Our shirts are navy with gold ink, FYI.

Based on the new Mask Order from the Governor, we're taking a slightly tougher stance on masks moving forward. Everyone must wear a face covering, such as a mask, unless they fall under an exception listed in Section 3 of the Order. Coaches, athletes and spectators must wear face coverings, unless they are outdoors and can consistently maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet. Athletes are not required to wear face coverings while actively engaged in workouts and competition that prevent the wearing of face coverings, but must wear face coverings when on the sidelines, in the dugout, etc. and anytime 6 feet of social distancing is not possible.

Let's play ball!

Hi Parents and Players,

It's been a long spring/summer, but I'm thrilled to finally welcome you to Team 21 in the Rookies (ages 7-8, machine pitch) Division of the Cheltenham Little League.

I'll be the manager and Kurt Beil will be a coach. I'll also be recruiting parents to assist with the team, particularly early in the season when we'll be focusing on small-group drills. Please let me know if you have any interest in helping out. Previous coaching or baseball experience NOT REQUIRED! You just have to have some enthusiasm and some patience.

This is obviously a unique season and situation, but I'm certain we can still have fun and learn more about the game of baseball. Here's a link to the CLL Yellow Phase Safety Plan, which you might have already received from the league. It outlines the precautions will have in place for practices this season. We hope to have the Green Phase Plan approved by the Township soon, which would allow us to start playing games.

Schedule: There are three teams in the Rookies division this season. Our plan is to always practice/play at the same time: Mondays and Wednesday nights, 6-7:30pm, Saturdays 9-10:30am. So we'll be meeting three times a week. Once we start playing games in a few weeks, we'll have two teams play while the third team practices, and the teams will rotate through ... most likely two teams playing on Field 1, third team practicing on Field 4.

Uniforms: I don't have word on uniforms yet, but I expect to have more information by the end of the week.

Snack Stand: Bad news: due to COVID, there are no plans to open the Snack Stand this season. Good news: I won't be badgering you to volunteer in the snack stand!

Our first practice will be TONIGHT, MONDAY 6/29 at 6pm on Field 1 of the CLL Woodlands Complex (650 Woodland Ave, Cheltenham, PA 19012). Sorry for the late notice, I understand if you can't make it out tonight.

We have some new standards in place for the players' arrival at the complex.

  • In accordance with the league and township’s requirements, we need to take all participants temperature with a touchless device. Players will be measured before they enter the field.
  • Players will need to use hand sanitizer before practice, during transitions between stations and following practice.  I will have sanitizer at the field and the bathroom will be open for handwashing.
  • Please complete the CLL_2020_Covid19_Waiver.pdf. If you can complete electronically, please do so and return via email to   with a copy to me. If you can’t do it electronically, please print a copy and bring it to your first practice. If you can’t print, I will have a copy available for you to sign at practice.
  • Each player will be assigned a fence panel to store their gear; I’ll explain to each player at drop-off how this works.
