FALL BASEBALL IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!

Before you know it, our third season of Cheltenham Little League Fall Baseball will be here. Once again this year, we will be participating in the Lower Montco Fall Ball League, which includes teams from much of District 22. Games begin the weekend after Labor Day and continue through the first weekend of November. Games are scheduled mostly on Sunday afternoons (usually not to conflict with Eagles games) and some late afternoons on Saturday. Each team is scheduled for 8-10 games. (A complete timeline is provided below.)



Fall baseball is organized as a developmental league. Players participate in the division that they will play in the Spring 2012 season. This makes fall baseball a great opportunity for players moving to a new division. Between 13-15 players will be rostered per team, since it is expected that players will also be participating in other fall sports and may have conflicts that cause them to miss some games.



Age Groups: (Players participate at the level they will play in the Spring 2012 season. There is no "playing up" during fall ball.)
  • Rookies (7-8): The birth date range is May 1, 2003 - April 30, 2005 (* if enough interest)
  • Minors (9-10): The birth date range is May 1, 2001 - April 30, 2003
  • Majors (11-12): The birth date range is May 1, 1999 - April 30, 2001
  • Juniors (13-14): The birth date range is May 1, 1997 - April 30, 1999
  • Seniors (15-16): The birth date range is May 1, 1995 - April 30, 1997 (* if enough interest)
REGISTRATION: Registration for fall baseball will be on a first-come, first-served basis; if we do not have enough players to complete a 2nd or 3rd team for a particular division, the rosters will be cut off based on the registration order. Registration fees will be $40-50 per player. We will be holding registration for fall ball (in person only) on the following dates (all registration sessions will be held at the CLL clubhouse, 650 Woodland Ave, Cheltenham, PA):
  • Wednesday, July 28, 2011 6:30 - 8:00 pm
  • Thursday, July 29, 2011 6:30 - 8:00 pm
  • Monday, August 1, 2011 6:30 - 8:00 pm
  • Tuesday, August 2, 2011 6:30 - 8:00 pm

Fall Ball Timeline
  • Player registration (in person only). July 28th, 29th, August 1st, and 2nd.
  • Manager/Coaches meeting (mandatory). July 31st, 7:15 pm, CLL Clubhouse.
  • Pre-season practices. Late August - Early September.
  • Full Season Games. September 10, 2011 - November 6, 2011.
