Little League Tournament Team

Each year, CLL participates in the Little League International Baseball and Softball Tournaments in several age-divisions (beginning at age 10).  This tournament begins with District 22-level play in mid-June.

Team rosters are comprised of eligible players (players must have played in 60% of scheduled games and must reside within CLL boundaries).

Each year, Chartered clubs can participate in State and World Series tournaments sponsored by “League League International. State Tournaments are organized for players ages 9 through 10. For players 11 years and older, Little League Sponsors an International Tournament called the World Series for(“Little League” division through the Big League division. Tournament play starts at the District level in Mid-June and may continue through mid –August: depending on the division.

As a member of Pennsylvania District 22, Cheltenham Little League continues to sponsor teams for baseball and softball at all divisions (based on player eligibility).  Teams must roster a minimum of 12 players. In addition, Little League rules include mandatory play requirements for all players.  

Our new website allows parents to upload required date of birth and proof of residency documentation.  We will ask all players interested in participating in District 22 Tournament play to upload these documents prior to the start of our open workouts - which typically begin in early May.

Invitational Tournament Teams

In addition to our Little League International Tournament teams, CLL also fields baseball and softball tournament teams for players 9 and under.  These teams are also comprised of players who meet minimum participation requirements.  These teams participate in 2-3 summer tournaments that are scheduled in mid-June through late-July.  Families are asked to become very aware of the commitment involved in these tournament teams prior to the tryout process - which typically begins in late May.
